On Ranveer Singh’s birthday, Deepika Padukone didn’t shy away to appreciate her actor husband on social media.

Bollywood’s live wire Ranveer Singh turns a year older and incidentally, his 2013 film Lootera also completes 7 years of its release today. And, his actress wife Deepika Padukone has an affectionate remark for him.

Marking the anniversary of the film, the actor shared a video of selected moments from the film on his Instagram account. Soon after, Deepika rushed to the comment section and appreciating her husband she wrote, “One of your best performances!”

While Vikramaditya Motwane’s period drama did not do fairly well at the box office, Lootera received mixed reviews. However, Ranveer was appreciated for his performance in the film. Also starring Sonakshi Sinha, the film is based on author O Henry’s 1907 short story The Last Leaf.

Ranveer will next be seen in the upcoming movie ’83, based on India’s 1983 World Cup win. He will be seen playing the role of Kapil Dev. The movie, which also stars Deepika (as Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Bhatia), is slated to release on Christmas 2020.

Apart from ’83, Ranveer will also feature in a special appearance in Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Sooryavanshi where he will reprise his role of inspector Bhalerao Sangram from Simmba (2018). He is also working on comedy movie Jayeshbhai Jordaar, which will see him play the role of a Gujarati businessman. Apart from this, he is all set to play lead in Karan Johar’s Takht too.

Anisha Padukone, Ranveer Singh’s sister-in-law, has wished the actor on the occasion of his 35th birthday on July 6. Anisha, who is a professional golfer, is known to share a close bond with Ranveer and wrote on social media on the special occasion, “Many happy returns of the day, Jijaji.” The message was accompanied by a dancing sticker of Ranveer on social media.

Ranveer has been trending on social media as well as fans celebrate his birthday. He would have seen the release of his highly anticipated movie ’83, but its theatrical release has been postponed due to the coronavirus. Meanwhile, Ranveer’s fans wished the live wire on social media on his 35th birthday.

Ranveer Singh is celebrating his 35th birthday today. Since the clock struck 12, fans have been showering social media with birthday wishes for the Simmba actor.

Katrina Kaif shared an image from one of Ranveer’s photoshoots on her Instagram story. She penned the sweetest note that reads, “Happy happy happy @ranveersingh never stop spreading your joy …. It makes the world better.”

Ranveer’s Dil Dhadakne Do co-star Anil Kapoor had the perfect greeting for his fellow actor. On Twitter, he posted a few fun images and wrote, “Happy Birthday Tiger!!!!! 🐅 @RanveerOfficial To many more years filled with crazy dancing, bear hugs, love & happiness!!! Have the best day! Lots of love!P.S Birthday hai toh kya hua, where is your mask!?”

Sonakshi Sinha pulled out a selfie from her archives and shared it on her Instagram stories. She wished her Lootera co-star a “Happy Birthday”.

Ayushmann Khurana shared a delightful image from the archived albums. The two contemporaries are seen flashing smiles during an old photoshoot they did together.

Bollywood actors Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone will be among stars who will be a part of an hour long documentary made for student batch of 2020 who are missing their graduation ceremony due to Covid-19.

In a first by an Indian, the world over, Anto Philip brought together stalwarts such as Armaan Malik, Akash Iyer, Anand Gandhi, Anupama Chopra, Bryden-Parth, Debosmita Majumder, Deepika Padukone, Dhruv Chitgopekar, Faye D’Souza, Hrithik Roshan, Jordindian, Raghava KK, Reba John, Rega Jha, Roshan Abbas and Tanmay Bhat, to create the country’s first graduation documentary – titled Batch of 2020.

According to a report in The Hindu, the one-hour long documentary will focus on celebrities talking to the batch of 2020 about their future and challenges of the outside world.

“The Batch of 2020 finds themselves in a position that no generation has faced since our last pandemic almost a century ago. Now, more than ever we needed to step in,” said Anto Philip recalling that his own valedictorian speech was the highlight of his graduation.

Talking about making the film, he said, “Putting this entire documentary together has been a great experience. There were moments when we were taken aback by what the experts in the documentary had shared with us.”

The film will release on July 5, 2020. Take a look at the trailer below:
