Anisha Padukone, Ranveer Singh’s sister-in-law, has wished the actor on the occasion of his 35th birthday on July 6. Anisha, who is a professional golfer, is known to share a close bond with Ranveer and wrote on social media on the special occasion, “Many happy returns of the day, Jijaji.” The message was accompanied by a dancing sticker of Ranveer on social media.

Ranveer has been trending on social media as well as fans celebrate his birthday. He would have seen the release of his highly anticipated movie ’83, but its theatrical release has been postponed due to the coronavirus. Meanwhile, Ranveer’s fans wished the live wire on social media on his 35th birthday.

Apart from ’83, Ranveer will also feature in a special appearance in Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Sooryavanshi where he will reprise his role of inspector Bhalerao Sangram from Simmba (2018). He is also working on comedy movie Jayeshbhai Jordaar, which will see him play role of a Gujarati businessman. Apart from this, he is all set to play lead in Karan Johar’s Takht too.

Akshay Kumar and producers of the upcoming movie Bell Bottom took to social media on Monday and shared the news with fans that shooting on the project will commence in August. Amid coronavirus spread, this is Akshay’s first movie to go on the floors. Bell Bottom is eyeing April 2, 2021 release and is a spy thriller directed by Ranjit M Tewari.

Akshay shared a picture with Vaani Kapoor, the lead actress in Bell Bottom, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi. Producer Jackky Bhagnani and director Ranjit also posed alongside the cast as they announced that the movie will begin shooting in August. It was also revealed that Bell Bottom cast will be the first to shoot at an international location amid coronavirus spread. They shoot in UK next month.

Inspired by true events, Bell Bottom is set in 1980s and is the story of one of India’s forgotten heroes. It is written by Aseem Arrora and Parveez Shaikh and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani.

Akshay Kumar wrote on social media that he hopes that other professions too open the doors to transgender community without discrimination.

The Indian government has decided to induct members of transgender community in the country’s elite paramilitary forces ending discrimination against the marginalised section.

Working upon the modalities in that direction, the Ministry of Home Affairs has sought suggestions and comments from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) on the matter. The ministry is working on the proposal to commission the “third gender” as officers in the paramilitary forces.

The ministry in a letter to CAPF on July 1, under the subject “Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination 2020 -Comments on draft rules regarding” sought suggestions from the forces over the issue.

It stated: “…the comments for incorporating the issues on transgender as Third gender along with Male/Female in the rules of CAPF (AC) Examination, 202 is yet to be received from CRPF, ITBP, SSB and CISF.” Now, it is reported that CRPF, BSF and SSB have agreed to recruit transgender people among its ranks.

Reacting to the news, Akshay Kumar, who plays a trans person in his upcoming movie Laxmmi Bomb, expressed his enthusiasm in the matter saying, “Brilliant news! Now that’s a progressive move by the government in the right direction. I hope rest of the occupations in the country follow suit (sic).”

On the work front, Akshay’s next Laxmmi Bomb will premiere on OTT soon. The horror comedy will see him paired opposite Kiara Advani.

Even though every aspect of movie making excites the young one, acting for camera is something, Khushi admits, she would like to see herself pursue in the coming times.

Now, in a video featuring Khushi from her college days that has surfaced on social media, we can see how dedicated she is in learning the art and craft behind movies. In a student testimonial video, Khushi can be seen enjoying time on the sets as she discovers her love for acting and other related movie activities like working with crew and being a part of filmmaking process with the team.

“My family is in the business but I have always just looked from afar,” Khushi says in the video, while adding that acting for film and improv is what she likes studying at the university there.

Meanwhile, Khushi has been in India since March and is spending time bonding with her family, while also making funny videos with her sister Janhvi. Khushi had to return from abroad as the coronavirus threat became bigger in the US. As of now, all classes are being conducted online till the time Covid-19 threat abates.
