CHANDIGARH: Bhartiya Kisan Union president said he is thankful to the apex court for nominating him on the committee but would sacrifice any position offered to him so as not to compromise the interests of farmers.
In a press statement, Mann pointed at ‘prevailing sentiments and apprehensions among farm unions’ as being behind his decision to opt out of the SC-appointed committee.
Man stated that he will not compromise with the interests of Punjab’s farmers, and always stand by them.
